Only one SnapBack subscription is available per domain name. The only way to prevent someone else from using SnapBack to back-order your domain name is to protect it with your own SnapBack subscription.
SnapBack does not, and never will, take a domain name away from its current registrant before that registrant allows the registration to expire.

Avoid trademark infringement. Make sure the name you want isn't trademark-protected or part of an active website. Only a full search conducted by a trademark professional can give you total assurance that a name isn't protected. You can also perform preliminary searches at www.trademark.com or www.uspto.gov/main/trademarks.htm to inform you of any obvious conflicts.
